The German-born scientist and naturalist Herbert Lang was employed by the natural history museum at the University of Zurich, and after emigrating to America in 1903, he joined the staff of the American museum as a taxidermist. After developing exhibits of North American birds, he joined the Kenyan expedition led by big game hunter Richard Tjader in 1906 and subsequently led his own expedition to the Congo from 1909-1915. Lang avidly documented his expeditions with fine photographs of the local population, animals and nature. Very good .
