(1945). - sc An 8-1/4 inch high by 6 inch wide sienna-toned portrait by Herman Jaffe printed above Golden's name within a ragged gilt border on 12-1/2 inch high by 9-1/2 inch wide heavy cream stock, with attached leaf at the bottom of which is printed the photographer's name. The portrait is inscribed along the bottom right border: "To Jean / A Real / surprising / genius! / With Every / good Wish", and signed "John Golden". Though still quite bold, the ink has slightly faded to brown. The creamy borders are slightly soiled with darkening to the top edge. Very good. Very good .
