In the spring of 2001, representatives from the City of Tampere, three Finnish universities and the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnology, Kunstkamera, set out on an expedition to visit the district of Yamal Netnetsia east of the Gulf of Ob in Siberia. In this book, members of the expedition recount their experiences, impressions and observations. Also included are essays by researchers involved in Northern ethnography.
A title in the series "Tampereen museoiden juikaisuja 61" [Tampere Museums' Publication No. 61]. The text is in Finnish with an eight-page summary in English. Very good .
