The title translates as "Human Beings and Spirits: 10 drawings by Karale Andreassen". The text, which is printed in Danish, Greenlandic and English, and the selection of the drawings are by Ove Buk.
Karale Andreassen [1890-1934] was a native of Eastern Greenland. His father was a great necromancer and had many strange experiences with spirits from the ancient Eskimo tradition--the Mother of the Sea, the Queen of the Winds, the Stone Trolls. Andreassen's father described these and other spirits to his son so vividly, that Andreassen was able to conjure them up in his art many years later. These drawings depict a necromancer and his dealings with the spirits. Good .
