The covers are bumped & lightly soiled; the spine is somewhat faded. There is a bookseller's blind stamp on the front endpaper; there is a tear to & a small piece out of the rear endpaper. Illustrated in B&W with portrait frontispiece, folding charts, photographic illustrations, diagrams & music staves. Good.

The charts provide such information as casting in different productions of the operas and the recurrence of characters in the four operas in "The Ring". Good .
