Economist Abraham Adler [1850-1892] was born in Bavaria. He studied at the University of Leipzig and devoted himself to a scientific presentation of commercial exchange. In 1898, he founded the first commercial school in Leipzig. He was the author of numerous textbooks and was president of the B'nai B'rith Lodge and of the Jewish Community of Leipzig. This work was also published as Adler's dissertation. The text is in German.
