Description: Boston: Printed by John Eliot, Jun. 1813. 1813. - Octavo, plain tan wraps sewn with tan cord. The wraps are soiled & chipped with the corners heavily creased. "5" and "T" are printed on the bottom edge of the front wrap. 33 pages. The top inner corner of the last page is stained & there is scattered foxing & staining throughout. The title page is darkened & the remaining pages are partially darkened & their front edges are chipped with some short tears & small pieces out. The top page corners are creased. A good working copy of a fragile pamphlet.
Josiah Quincy's speech concerns the war of 1812. He maintains that the additional military forces are intended for a proposed "conquest of Canada"--a venture which he ridicules as both impossible and inappropriate. Good .
