The backstrip is perished & the spine has been reinforced with gray cloth tape. The tape is split along the rear joint with a large piece out at the tail of the spine, & the lower third of the front wrap is detached. 169 pages. Some bottom page corners are creased & the bottom corner of the last leaf is darkened & chipped. Illustrated with a black-and-white plate depicting the proposed monument. Ex-library with the remnants of a library label on the rear wrap and a numeral & "discarded" stamp on the verso of the title. Good.

Among the contents of this report on the celebration of the Centennial Anniversary of the surrender of Lord Cornwallis to American and French forces at Yorktown are a Centennial Ode by Paul H. Hayne of South Carolina, remarks by John W. Johnston, and a number of orations, including one by Robert C. Winthrop of Boston recounting the events surrounding the surrender. Good .
