WorldCat does not note any copies being held in institutions; hence acarce. stamped at the head of the first page are the words: ' FOR THE EDITOR, With Compliments of the Author / Please Notice and Oblige'. The eight Subjects in this part are Aaron V, Brown and Gideon J. Pillow (both of Tennessee), Archibald Dixon of Kentucky, James L. Orr, Angus Patterson and Issac W Hayne (all of South Carolina), Gilbert Dean of New York, and Alexander De Witt of Massachusetts. The Covers are edge-worn and somewhat worn and soiled, but still serviceable. The binding is tight and the contents are unmarked. Ill.: steel engravings. This is Part III, Vol. IV and contains eight biographies, all with fine oval steel engravings of the subjects.
