This volume contains six monthly issues of this famous literary magazine. It contains numerous articles by famous authors, including one article and two stories by Arthur Conan Doyle: 'The Lord of Chateau Noir' (G&G A25 viii), 'The Medal of Brigadier Gerard' (A19vii), and 'An Alpine Pass on 'Ski'' (with photos by the author; G&G C87), plus stories by Beckles Willson, Grant Allen, M. P. Shiel, Huan Mee, E. W. Hornung and others. The book is handsomely bound in 3/4 wine-red polished calf, over 'pebbled' buckram, with gilt rules to the spines. The boards are rubbed at the edges, and the spine title is quite rubbed. The front hinge is starting but holding, and the binding is tight. No previous owner's markings and the contents are exceptionally clean. Ill.: black-&-white illustrations.
