Black & white frontispiece, and five b&w plates by W. Rainey (one having come loose, but present). Boards show edge-rubbing, some soiling (more so to rear board) and scuffing. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Some psotting to pages. Binding a bit stressed but contents tight (excep for detached plate, as noted). Overall, a fair to good copy. Illustration of Peterborough astride cannon barrel on front board; musketman illustration on spine. Ill.: W. Rainey illustrations.
