He left a collections of memoirs, written in the second person (first published in 1634), which are valuable as a history of the times. Our offering is the second volume of these memoirs, commencing with chapter 71 and concluding with a comprehensive Table of Contents. The binding is in poor condition, with heavy wear to the boards. The binding to the spine is partially gone, exposing the top cords. The hinges are tender, but intact. The contents are remarkably clean, with only the usual and unavoidable age-toning to the pages and some discoloration to the bottom margin throughout. Offered for what it is, and priced accordingly. Colophon states that this edition was printed at Rouen, France, on September 28, 1663, to be sold in Paris by Thomas Jolly.
