Without the help of a thorough Burroughs' bibliography, such as Heins or Zeuschner, it is unfortunately easy for an uninformed bookseller to incorrectly describe this book. If in doubt - ask the dealer which bibliography was used to identify the book as a first edition. Cheaper is not always better. First published in 1922, this is the 1948 reprint, with the J.
