Contents include: 'Scenes with the old Mickledale Hunt', 'A Lover's Quarrel', 'The Legend of the Laughing Oak', 'The Strange Adventures of a Dog Cart', and 'The Curmudgeons' Christmas'. The boards are very worn at the edges, and very soiled. The hinges are broken, and some pages are loose, but all pages have been carefully collated and they are present. Internally, the book is quite clean, with only occasional evidence of light soiling to the margins. Some pages are chipped at the margins, with some minor loss, but not affecting text or image. This copy is an ideal candidate for restoration or, for those so inclined, dis-binding to extract and mount the wonderful prints. Ill.: colour illustrations.
