And the Amsterdam maid for the famous Wilbaut family, and subsequently activist and chairwoman of the Amsterdam maids' association. In 1919 she left for Paris, where she conquered a place among the artists and intellectuals in Montparnasse. For Mondriaan she became irreplaceable.
