With 3 folding maps (general map of the West Indies, geological map of Barbados, and map of the Guyanas), and a folding table of products of Trinidad. VIII,408; (12) pp. First edition. - The author was a deputy inspector general of army hospitals, sent to the West Indies in the fall of 1838. He was stationed in Barbados, British Guiana, and Trinidad during the course of the next two yerars, and saw Tobago en route to the latter for one day.
