The first 7 volumes (of 10) of the Groot Placaet-Boeck, including register. Uniform volumes in large 4to / folio (ca 38,5 x 23,5 cm). All volumes with engraved title. With engraved plates (mostly coins). Cont. full vellum with raised bands, blindstamped ornaments on front- and backplates. Titles in an old hand. Ties gone. The vellum of vol. 1 is cracked along 1 side of the spine. Apart from some traces of use the other 5 folio's are in a very good condition, occasional light bumps, folds, tears, browning etc. includes the 'Repertorium of Generaal Register over de Ses Deelen van het Groot Placaatboek (The Hague, Scheltus, 1752), 8vo, in 2 parts, comprising a listing in years and dates as well as an alphabetical listing. The set continued until 1797. These first 7 volumes (of 10) are a great source for legal, political, historical, theological and sociological information.
