Title: A descriptive catalogue of the works of Rembrandt, and of his scholars, Bol, Livens, and Van Vliet, compiled from the original etchings, and from the catalogues of De Burgy, Gersaint, Helle and Glomy, Marcus, and Yver.
Description: Liverpool, Printed by J. M'Creery, 1796. Half leather binding with marbled boards. (4) (XXII), (2) 339 (5) pp. Corners slightly bumped, boards rubbed, book loose in binding, edges of pages a bit chipped, contemporary handwritten marginal notes throughout the text. Op front endpaper handwritten "Donum Auctoris 15 Aprilis 1796 W. Lowndes" and underneath it a handwritten note (apparently by Lowndes) "This catalogue was priced from Mr. Daulbys copy lent to me by the author which sold at this sale for 5 guineas. Mr. Daulby's collection of Rembrandt etching were sold by auction by Mr. Vernon at Liverpool for five hundred and ten pounds."
