Description: London: I. Wheble, Warwick Court, Septr. 1. 1795 . 0. The first two hand coloured engravings depict "Sir William Rowley's Dog Kennel at Tendring Hall, Suffolk." (11.5cm x 16.5cm) This illustrates a building specifically designed for housing dogs, likely hounds, as suggested by the kennel's size and structure. Such facilities were common on estates belonging to the British aristocracy and gentry during this period, reflecting the importance of hunting as both a sport and a social activity. The second engraving is the actual plan of the 'Dog Kennel', engraved by J. P. White (11.5cm x 18cm) . The third hand coloured engraving depicts R. Fairbrother Huntsman to Newman, Esqr. of Knavestock, Essex. Published by J. Wheble, March 1. 1794 (11.5cm x 16.5cm) . The image shows a hunter on horseback, with a pack of dogs charging in front of him. Three more hunters are visible in the background. Engraved by Cook after Fairbrother. All three engravings housed in a modern glazed frame (Note on the rear : "Beckford Engravings c. 1795") - 33cm x 88.5cm . This is a bulky picture with a glass front. So there will an extra charge for posting overseas.
