White tipex mark to base of spine. Light toning to endpapers. Half-title browned, clean decorated title-page, and clean English text and illustrations throughout. Contents include: "Introduction; Ralph Roister Doister ( Text ); and a Note-Book And Word-List." VG ** "John Stephen Farmer born at Bedford March 7th 1854 to Alfred Henry Farmer (born August 27th 1827 at Biggleswade, Bedfordshire), described in the census returns as a 'City Missionary,' and Pheobe [sic] Sheppard (born about 1830 at Beaford, Bedfordshire).. John Stephen Farmer died 18th January 1916. His address was The Rookery, West Bergholt, Essex.
