Description: Guiseley, Yorkshire: Privately printed, 1910 . 0. A very good original binding. 8.75" x 5.75" x 0.75". 32ff. (Each leaf with printing to recto only). Padded navy blue watered silk covered boards. Gilt crest to front board with the motto of the Fairfax family: "FARE FAC" (which translates as: We Teach By Doing; or, Say and Do). The book is now covered in adhesive plastic, with the addition of red silk strips and a library reference number to the base of the spine. Light toning to endpapers (with adhesive tape marks), plus library references and previous owners ink stamp: "L. W. Smith, 96 Farleigh Road, Warlingham, Surrey". Embossed coloured Royal Arch crest, with tissue guard as frontispiece, plus 3 other coloured plates of Royal Arch jewels. This is an excellent programme for the Consecration of the Fairfax Chapter No 3255 on Tues July 5th 1910 at the Masonic Hall, Guisely. It is an elaborate book with the detailed ceremony and music printed for the Consecration; Installation of principals.etc. Followed by a Garden Party and Banquet with the Ladies, ending with the Toast List which includes the Masonic Version of the National Anthem - 'How Masonry used to be!'.
