Smooth spines with gilt banding, black leather title labels: "Cowper's Poems." and small red leather circular volume numbers. Hinges and corners carefully strengthened. Each volume with previous owners signature (in a contemporary hand) to front free-endpaper: "Joseph Albright 1808 ". A few blemishes, or small tears, but overall a very clean set. Vol. I. pp.10/[2pp.]/368 . With preface signed by "John Newton. Charles Square, Hoxton, February 18, 1782." Vol. II. : pp.4/[2pp.]/pp.363 .
