The City and Guilds Union joined with the Unions of the Royal College of Science and Royal School of Mines in support of Phoenix from 1915, when it became the 'Magazine of the Imperial College of Science and Technology' These issues contain news of college events & societies, cartoons, photographs, book reviews; articles covering various diverse subjects such as: "American Railways" ; "Roumanian Oil"; "The Black People of Jamaica"; "Chemistry" & of course, the second world war which was current at the time of publication.
