The Other Intitled Eusebius: Or, The True Christian's Defence, etc. By the Rev. Mr Chapman. The first volume of The Moral Philosopher was published anonymously in 1737 with the second and third volumes published subsequently in response to criticism. The work is a dialogue between a Christian Jew, Theophanus, and a Christian deist, Philalethes. Leather covers with impressed decoration and with leather banded spine is well rubbed with worn spine-ends and corners, splits on both joints with front cover held by only one cord, front cover has area of loss.
