Full leather binding with possible earlier backstrip over the spine, corners and spine-ends are worn and there are scratches to the surfaces. Both external joints are cracked and rear cover is held only by cords. Leather bookplate for Edward Hailctone (Hailstone) on inside of front cover, also other previous owner's names at front (A Beresford, L Trattles). Card with illustration of Hinderwell pasted at front. Frontis is heavily foxed. Plan and map are clean and free from tears, plates have some foxing in margins but print areas are mainly free from foxing. Contains an attached green silk page-ribbon.
