Raised bands and decoration on spine. Covers are worn, some surface loss. Corners, edges and spine ends are well rubbed. Binding is sound. Volume has 8 plates, including an engraved frotis and two maps. Pages have occasional smudges but are otherwise clean, plates are foxed to varying degrees, frontispiece and plate facing page 47 are more foxed than the others.
