Small volume, quarter leather with marbled cover, illustrated with 26 plates. Leather is well worn over the joints with front cover almost wholly detached and rear cover partially detached, covers are rubbed and corners are scuffed and bumped. Internal binding is sound. There is juvenile pencil graffiti at various places throughout the book with particular heavy pencilling on the inside of the covers and prelims, the name of the juvenile "artist" appears to be "Tom" although the rear-end of the illustration of the baboon is annotated as "Freddy".
