The Act provides for: His Majesty may suspend the training and exercising the Militia; His Majesty may order Quotas of Militia of Great Britain to be fixed before the next Period specified in recited Act; Persons enlisting Militia Men for the East India Companys Service subject to the Penalties of recited Act; Militia-men offering to be enrolled for another Parish subject to Punishment under recited Act for enlisting into another Regiment etc; Number of Serjeants, Corporals and Drummers to be retained in the Militia on Pay when not in actual Service.
