The whole interspersed with Observations, Philological, Critical, and Grammatical" Well rubbed full leather binding with fragments of a red spine label. Both external joints are split full-length but covers are still attached, leather lifting from spine in places. Corners and spine-ends are well-scuffed, small pieces of clear adhesive tape at lower corners of covers adjacent to joints. Internal binding is sound. Modern library plate for Ampleforth Abbey Library, end-papers are foxed and darkened. Light foxing to title-page and early prelims. and last few pages. Very occasional light foxing elsewhere.
