John Usher (1809-1896) poet, and songwriter originally from Darnick, near Melrose, he farmed at Stodrig near Kelso. CONDITION Burgundy cloth with bright gilt title and leather spine, photo of author pasted in as frontis illus and hand signed underneath, 118 pages with engraved tail pieces. Spine is is worn to head, covers a little rubbed, front end page removed. Ownership label of New Zealand author Eugene Grayland inside front, another label has been removed. Over all a nice tight and bright copy. Good/No Jacket. Signed by Author.
