Krummacher (1767 -1845) was a German Reformed theologian and a writer of devotional poetry and prose, this is his most noted work. This particular edition is engraved by the famous Victorian engravers George and Edward Dalziel. CONDITION Green embossed cloth with bright gilt spine title (cloth is in very nice condition with toned spine, mark to front and canted cnrs) pp vi 362, frontis illus of author with clean tissue guard, 40 nice illus. Copy is mostly very bright and clean with toned eps, very odd finger mark, a couple of gathers to middle section are slightly loose. Particularly good for Bohn's titles of this era. Very Good/No Jacket.
