Titlepage printed in red and black + [14pp=dedicaction + Preface +excerptiones Chronologicae] +329pp + [62 leaves of Index Verborum. Bookplate of Earl Nelson [son of Lord Nelson of Trafalgar] to pastedown + later bookplate of winged horse on first free endpaper with "Cost 6 Shil." to upper corner + fine decorated caligraphic inscription "Edmund Foyle his book January 22 1767. " further neat name to top margin of titlepage Thomas Hayter. Each chapter with side notes [mainly refrences & names] + at the end of each chapter "Interpretatio" and below this "Notae" both of these in double columns. A clean tight copy with minimal signs of use and a very useful Index of key words in the last section following the text.
