There are no underlinings or inscriptions or annotations and the worm holes are confined to the covers and the preliminaries of the first part so that by page 1 there are only approx. 4 holes and they become smaller and fewer so that within the next 24 leaves there are none.Large corner of free endpaper torn off. The text is wide ranging dealing with natural history, geography and world history.The first part of volume two deals with the description of the New World and Christopher Columbus' discoveries. Further sections deal with new plants found, with horology, pottery, music, the invention and history of typography, paper, libraries, distillation, Alchemical arts etc. There is even a lively representation of a printing works at the foot of the Engraved titlepage!
