The title and semi titles to the subsequent 2 parts are counted in the Collation though not numbered themselves.The first titlepage has three old ink ownerships to top margin one crossed out and 3 monastary stamps to blank areas, one repeated to A2 another to the pastedown. The pastedown also has 2 neat shelf-marks. There is some dusting and spotting of the titlepage and some pale damp marks to gutter & margin but not affecting the strength or crispness of the paper and about 10 leaves with marginal small wormholes never touching printed area. There is no foxing, no underlinging or annotations and the paper is clean crisp and birght. This is the Latin edition and first translation by Langum and has some greek as well as italic typography with side notes. There are also some handsome figural and decorative initial letters, in all a good tight copy. Justinus one of the earliest Christian philosophers studied the Stoics, Pythagoreans, Aristotle and Plato. He preceded the other early christians such as Eusebius and Boethius who also were interested in combining Christianity with Attic philosophy and this lead to his martyrdom as a Christian 165 A.D.
