Description: London, Wilkins for the Company of Stationers 1718 . Octavo contemporary hand blind tooled calf on 5 raised bands compartments also tooled (tips quite worn but hinges only sl.rubbed/ 9x4mm hole to foot of spine) unpaginated but collated complete (304pp incl.index & Prayers). TP elaborately ruled in red and all other pages ruled in red on 4 sides as orginally done since the binding crops some red rules on a few pages. The binding tooling is made up of panelled rules with 4 floral corners + stars, and at least 5 other tools used to make combination ornaments. Marbled EPs with strange paper joining on pastedown but surely original to the time of binding. White EPs slightly marked & name written twice on EP. A very clean handsomely bound copy of the Psalms.
