Hong Kong: Ye Olde Printerie Ltd, nd. (c.1937). 1st edition. H.M.S. Kent (54) was a County-class heavy cruiser built for the Royal Navy in the late 1920s. She was was assigned to the 5th Cruiser Squadron on the China Station and spent the bulk of the inter-war years there. This book recalls through word and photographs memories of peoples met and places visited on the China Station. Pp.xiv/136, photo frontispiece + 52 further black & white photos, 2 track charts + numerous vignette illustrations, small loss to lower margin of pp.97/98 (not affecting text). Blue cloth, gilt motif to front board, title to spine dulled, light bleached spots to boards. Scarce. G+.
