Quote "Sadly today, because a hundred years ago Freemasonry went through a change from being a publicly visible and understood organisation, to become a private, non-visible organisation, it is seen generally as a network for self-promotion, and this obscures the fact that it had from the eighteenth century a real intellectual and spiritual appeal, which I wish we could revive".
