A farmer with a bale of hay and a scythe over his shoulder walks to the right carrying a jug.Etching and drypoint on wove paper. Sheet size 260 x 171 mm., platemark 178 x 139 mm. Signed WJDingemans and dated 1891 in the plate lower right, and signed in pencil lower right.Waalko Jans Dingemans (I) (Lochem 1873 - 1925 Haarlem) was a Dutch graphic artist, painter and watercolorist. His son, Waalko Jans Dingemans (II) also became an artist.In good condition, although with quite soiled margins. The image is quite clean and a nice deep impression.
