A fascinating collection of "Our Own Country" periodicals dating from approximately 1881 to 1882, bound together with scrapbook pages of illustrations of English views and landmarks. With various ink inscriptions of one Irene M Harper, Newham College, Cambridge, dated 1924. Many articles focus on places in the county of Kent. In a quarter calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, rather worn with both boards detached and backstrip missing. Internally, generally firmly bound, though pages have been removed and added throughout.
