W. Seigne. Ink inscription of Francis Law to the front paste down, the son of Hugh Alexander Law and Lota Law. Their home was Marble Hill House in Donegal, where they played hosts to George William Russell on a number of occasions; when he stayed at Marble Hill House he stayed in the children's house in the grounds, which was known as the 'Fairy House', apparently where he found his strongest psychic insights, spending his time there hunting for fairies in their woods. They also hosted W. B. Yeats, Jack Yeats, P.H. Pearse, William Orpen, G.K. Chesterton and Hilaire Belloc. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A couple of light marks to the boards and spine. Spine is lightly faded. Light spots to the fore edge. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some odd spots, mostly to the first and last few pages. Very Good .
