Collated, complete. A collection of fifteen poetical letters showing a satirical view of the fashionable live in Bath in the eighteenth century, following the adventures of three naive children of a Northern squire whilst on a visit to the city.This was Christopher Anstey's most popular work, and he never quite recaptured the success of this work, which was constantly in print during his lifetime.This edition with a biographical and topographical preface by John Britton. In a quarter calf binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, smart. Spine is faded. Rubbing and a small amount of loss to the spine label. Minor bumping to the extremities.
