The Navies at War - a Complete Naval Handbook and Register for Gains and Losses, with Details of Navies of Allies and Enemies
London, Farringdon Press. 9999, First ?. Soft cover. Book, Paper wrappers, 9 x 6 inches, 32 pages. "This booklet is intended to supply in a ready and handy form a detailed list of Our Navy, now so valiantly guarding our shores and our commerce. It is so designed and set out as to form a record of those losses which must from time to time occur to the units of the Fleet. There is appended a comparative table of the Navies of our Allies and enemies. Further tables are given of the enemy Fleets, with space to enter losses as they occur. The whole will provide an interesting record of Naval achievements in the course of the War." No date, presumably published 1914 or thereabouts. Portraits of Fisher, Churchill and Jellicoe; illustrations of 2 Dreadnoughts, 3 Battleships, 2 battle cruisers, 2 armoured cruisers, light cruiser, destroyer, submarine, 1 German cruiser. Lots of statistics. First 2 pages have pin holes in margin, otherwise very good condition. Scarce. Very Good/No Jacket.
