1862, quer gr. in 8-vo (23x 15 cm), 39 Bll. + 1 S. (Index), mit 38 ganzseitigen Bleistiftzeichnungen, einige weiss überhöht oder koloriert, 3 Zeichnungen auf Blätter montiert, durchgehend leicht fleckig, insgesamt guter Zustand. Orig.-Leinenband, fleckig, Buchrücken oben u. unten leicht aufgeplatzt, stabiles Exemplar.
¶ Bilder einer Reise vor der weiten Verbreitung der Fotografie. Schöne und gekonnte Bleistiftzeichungen zeigen Landschaften, Menschen, Monumente auf einer Sommerreise durch die Innerschweiz im Jahr 1862. Die Legenden sind französisch gehalten, was einen französischen Touristen (vielleicht Elsass) vermuten lässt. Über Basel geht es an den Vierwaldstättersee und in die Innerschweiz, wo während der Sommermonate die Bergwelt ausgiebig besucht wird. Im Bild festgehalten wurden u.a. eine Seeüberquerung in einer kleinen Holzbarkasse bei Regen, Dorfansichten, Hotels, landschaftliche Schönheiten wie reissende Bäche, Wasserfälle, Berge, Alpmatten, Alphütte mit dem Senn (Innenansicht) auf der Trübseealp, der nächtliche Aufstieg einer Gruppe zum Titlis mit Laternen, Gletscherüberquerung und Ankommen auf dem Gipfel, sowie Rutschpartien auf den Schneefeldern etc. Die Legenden: Vue de Bâle, Winkel & Pilate, de Winkel à Stansstad, chemin de Buochs à Beckenried & vue vers Brunnen, Sonnenberg près Seelisberg, Emmatten, chemin de Beckenried à Emmatten, Waldisbalm, Waldisbalm vue extérieur, le lac vers Schwitz, Seewen, de Seewen vers Brunnen, Beckenried vers le Pilate, de Weggis au Rigi, der Berggeist des Rigi, chemin de Weggis au Rigi, Stans, chemin du Pilate, Kritzliloch Pilatus, Beckenried, Beckenried (Frau in Tracht), Küssnacht, Engelberg, Ober Trübseealp, Pitzihorn, Trübseealp (Inneres der Alphütte), Aufsteig zum Titlis, Standt, Titlisgletscher, Nollen (Gipfel des Titlis), Abstieg vom Titlis, Rückkehr nach Trübseealp, Engelberg, Stierenbachfall, Galloge (?) des Surenen, Abstieg des Surenen nach Altorf, Attinghausen, Schächenthal, Mythenstein.
