Paris, (Imprimerie Bonaventure et Ducessois pour) Delloye éditeur, 1848, gr. in-4to, texte à 2 col., 2 ff. + XX + 104 pp. + 22 (dont 6 doubles) cartes géogr. gravées sur acier en noir/bl., la double carte de la Suisse avec frontières coloriées + 22 planches de vues gravées, texte et planches avec qqs minimes rousseurs, généralement très frais, gardes en papier jaune d'origine, reliure en toile noire, plats ornés à froid, titre doré au centre du plat devant, vignette dorée au centre du 2ème plat, début d'une petite fente aux charnières. Bel exemplaire.
¶ Deuxième édition. La première éd., imprimée en 1837 par E.-B. Delanchy est suivie par les éds. de 1848 et de 1851 (cf. Perret). Avec la belle carte double 'Carte Générale de la Suisse' gravée par C. Dyonnet et impr. par Mangeon, avec les frontières coloriées + 21 cartes géogr. gravées, dont 5 doubles (BE, AI-SG, GR, TI et Chamouny) et 16 simples. Parmi les 22 planches de vues gravées sur acier, il y a 9 vues de ville (BE, LU, FR, BS, AI, Coire, Brugg, Lausanne et GE), ainsi que la Porte de Bâle à Soleure, le Château de Kyburg, le Pont de Serrières (NE), le Chemin des Échelles (VS), Galerie de Gondo (VS) et plusieurs autres vues pittoresques. Avec un coup d'oeil sur l'histoire de la Suisse, sa nature, ses montagnes, avalanches, lacs et fleuves et les dépenses qu'exigent les voyages en Suisse. Les bons conseils consistent aussi à prendre sur soi une bouteille empaillée d'eau de cerises (Kirschwasser), dont 'quelques gouttes dans de l'eau font une boisson saine et rafraîchissante', suivi par les itinéraires à l'usage des voyageurs.
