Very light occasional browning to text. In addition to his position of local clergyman, Homer was one of the commissioners of enclosure for Warwickshire. His work on 'the inclosure of common fields' was published in 1766, and was followed a year later by this important piece on inland communication. Homer acknowledges in his dedication that his conclusions were based on his observations of the two turnpike roads 'from Dunchurch ... to Stonebridge' and 'from Finford .. to Banbury'.
