The 4 volumes are housed in a pictorial slipcase illustrated by Edward Gorey. There is some bubbling from the glue on the surface of the slipcase. One volume, "The Curious Sofa", has a short tear to the top of the front wrapper as well as a light crease to its top corner and rubbing to its front edge. The other three volumes are in near fine condition. Very good. First edition in this format which reprints these 4 titles. Three of the volumes are signed by Edward Gorey. Gorey has signed "The Fatal Lozenge", "The Curious Sofa", and "The Hapless Child". "The Curious Sofa" is signed with Gorey's playful pseudonym "Ogdred Weary". "Set of four books in wrappers issued in publisher's blue-green slipcase with yellow, green and black stamping on Gorey illustrated label. No prices appear on the books and though Obolensky is on the spines Astor-Honor is the indicated publisher on the copyright page, except for THE SINKING SPELL. The four books are: THE FATAL LOZENGE, (light green), THE CURIOUS SOFA, (pink), THE HAPLESS CHILD, (blue) and THE SINKING SPELL (beige and blue). Title on slipcase is A GOREY FESTIVAL.
