Anson's Voyage Round the World, Chart with 6 engraved views: a chart of the Pacific Ocean from the Equinoctial to the Latitude of 39½.
Printed for J. Hinton at the King's Arms in St Paul's Church Yard, 1748. Copper engraving on a single sheet, 525 x 200 mm. The six engraved views are: Part of the Northeast Side of Terra del Fuego at the entrance to the Straits le Maire, Burning of the Town of Payta on the coast of Santa Fee in the South Sea, Chinese Vessels, a View of Cape Espiritu Santu on Samal..., Watering Place at Tenian, Compilation view. The final compilation view "A View of the Commodore's Tent and the Island of Juan Fernandes" has been modified with the addition of two sea lions in the foreground> Anson is depicted with his back to the viewer, looking towards his tents, and flanked by a male and female sea lion rather incongruously reclining in the wooded landscape. This map was issued in the Universal Magazine in 1748 reflecting the contemporary interest in Anson's voyage. London Topographical Society, [1905] Engraved panoramic map on 8 sheets with wide blank borders, each sheet 405 x 560 mm. a fine copy. This enormous and decorative facsimile plan of London and the South Bank was reproduced by the London Topographical Society in 1905 on eight separate sheets. The map is a reproduction of Ralph Agas' map of c.1560, which was once in the possession of Sir Hans Sloane.

Plan of Hayliing. With References to Case.
Manuscript, c. 1850. Manuscript map, 630 x 570 mm. with outline hand colouring, old creases, mounted on linen and laid down on card. Signature of W. Padwick to top right hand corner. William Padwick [1791 - 1861] was a significant figure in the development of Hayling Island in the nineteenth century. He bought the Manor from the Duke of Norfolk, and as Lord of the Manor he was active in enforcing his rights over tithes, ferries and mud rights, but especially his rights over the oyster beds for which the area was famed. The key bears references to many of these rights with dates of enforcement at trial at Winchester Court over many years, the last dated 1843 over his rights to the "Wine Wreck" the ship "Tyro."
