L'Affaire Raemaekers. Compte-rendu du procès intenté à Me Charles Vuille devant la Haute Cour pénale fédérale. Audiences des 30 et 31 janvier et 1er février 1918. Avec deux portraits et la reproduction des planches saisies.
Genève, Frères Attinger, 1918. Ingenaaid. 248 p. Met buitentekstplaten in zwartwit: twee fotoportretten en de zestien in beslag genomen karikaturen. Niet afgesneden. Gedrukt in 1050 genummerde exemplaren. 1e druk. Naaisel los, rug versleten. Tenaamstelling weggeradeerd. Met handgeschreven inscriptie, niet van Raemaekers of Vuille, moeilijk leesbaar, en naamstempeltje op eerste bladzijde. Verslag van het geruchtmakende proces op last van de Duitse censuur aangespannen tegen de Zwitserse advocaat Charles Vuille, omdat hij in Genève een tentoonstelling had georganiseerd van de Nederlandse karikaturist Raemaekers, waarop tekeningen te zien waren die wantoestanden en misdaden begaan door de Duitse legers in de bezette landen bekritiseren. Er waren enkele tekeningen in beslag genomen, en deze zijn afgebeeld in dit boek. Vervolgens werd het boek in Zwitserland verboden.

Allerlei reportages en artikelen, over politiek, film en ander vermaak en sport. 1e druk. Wat versleten, ezelsoortjes, gebruikssporen. Vrolijke almanak die men in Nederland niet vaak ziet, maar wel interessant, en een goudmijn aan leuke illustraties, allemaal van één kunstenaar: Jean-Louis Chancel (1899-1977), die in de Tweede Wereldoorlog een groot inlichtingennetwerk voor het verzet wist op te zetten.

With a handwritten dedication by Paul Decauville (1846-1922), a well-known inventor, industrialist and bibliophile, to 'Monsieur le Vicomte Melchior de Vogué de l'Académie Française'. Melchior de Vogüé (1829-1916) was a diplomat and archaeologist.

Paris, Folies Bergère, 1944. Oblong 20 x 29 cm. Black felt paper with an oval diecut showing a colorful bouquet peeping in from the next page. Sewn with a cord. 4 p. Not illustrated (save for the title illustration). Set from Peignot and printed on art paper. Very good condition. This Folies Bergère liberation party benefited the Normandy wounded of D-Day, it was celebrated in liberated Paris with a spectacle in which the Swing Folies Girls of Miss Bluebell performed, Les Gypsys, Mistinguett, Maurice Chevalier and many others. An autograph of General Eisenhower was also to be auctioned for the ‘Sinistrés de Normandie’! A very fragile edition (even more so because of its horizontal format with little power in the spine).
