Ex-library copy with two labels on spine and a stamp on the title. Uncut copy. The first edition of this book was published in Palermo in 1745. It met with great success in Southern Europe. The rare dutch translation was made, according the title page, on the second French edition, by J. Stafford a surgeon of the Imperial Austrian Army, stationed in Antwerp. .
