W.woodcut vignettes and some small illustrations in the text, a dedicatory poem by Laevinus Torrentius, bishop of Antwerp. Contemporary parchment, raised bands, title in ink on spines. (library stamps on fly-leaves, ligthly foxed throughout, a few small wormholes in some hinges, a very good set) ADDED: PAGI, Antonius. Critica historico-chronologica in universos Annales Ecclesiasticas ementissimi & reverendissimi Caesaris cardinalis Baronii. Antwerp (Geneva), sumptibus Societatis, 1705. Folio. 4 vol. Contemporary parchment, raised bands, title in in on spines. (libr.stamps on fly-leaves and titlepages, paper very lightly foxed or age-toned throughout, one page in vol.3 slightly damaged with loss of some letters, spines slightly damaged with some small wormholes, one spine severely damaged) - old owners inscripition on title pages: D. Ambrosii Perouin (?), Abbati de Monescalarii, 1729 (erased in vol.4). All together 16 volumes. ¶ Graesse I/296; David Clément: Bibliotheque curieuse historique et critique, vol.II/ p.447, gives for vol. XII the year 1741.
